Growing up as a classically trained dancer, Danni has performed, trained and instructed all over the world. Beginning her performing experience at national dance competitions, attending Performing Arts conservatories, and participating in the Nutcracker with the Miami City Ballet yearly, she quickly found her love for the stage. It was in her teens at her home studio in South Florida that she first touched a trapeze, and assisted the Artistic Director in all of the ins/outs of running a studio. After receiving numerous entertainment and choreographic awards, she began exploring her own unique movement style and fell in love with choreography. She began her professional performance career with the 8th Street Contemporary Dance Company in Colorado, followed by Code F.A.D. (Film, Art, Dance) in North Carolina. In between the two, she trained in South Korea with the iDance Professional Company in Gangnam, as well as ran her own dance program in Dongducheon.
After having two little monkeys of her own with her husband, she shifted gears to begin serious training in the air. Training in fabric, lyra, sling, loops and chains with Air Born Aerial Fitness in North Carolina, she quickly found her niche in bridging the gap between aerial training and aerial performance. Her specialty is colliding her worlds: teaching aerialists in training how to become performers, and teaching dancers how to perform in the air.
Danni spent several years in Colorado, performing all over the state for entities such as The Clocktower Cabaret, Luxe Entertainment, Paul Borrillo Entertainment, Aerial Aura Company, Mesmerie Entertainment, The Millibo Art Theatre, and The Dragonfly Aerial Company. For the last, she was also the Performance Company Manager, creating and developing a pre-professional program for aspiring aerialists and directing full-length productions. Some of her most memorable gigs were for Re/Max, The American Heart Association, UCHealth, Temple Denver, and Dead Man’s Brewfest for the Colorado Switchbacks.
Danni has been a workshop instructor for the West Coast Aerial Arts Festival, was invited as a workshop host at the Colorado Aerial Arts Summit (the year the world fell apart), and in 2021 received 1st place in both Aerialympics and Aerial Star Organization in the professional division for her giant loops act.
Having recently relocated to El Paso, TX due to being a military spouse, she continues to coach competitively in a variety of apparatus to students beginner through professional as well as work in community outreach and widening the reach of aerial arts in the area. She also provides program and curriculum development, implements teacher trainings, and works directly with competition team members in act creation and professional transitioning at On Edge Aerial Dance.
Believing that you should never stop growing and learning (and not knowing what she wants to be when she grows up), she is currently double majoring in Kinesiology and Legal Studies, both of which will be completed in the fall of 2024.
